IT'S ABOUT HOW SMART YOU WORK HARD

For an exercise to be considered "the best exercise" for a particular muscle, it must comply

with 16 biomechanical factors that determine efficiency, productivity and safety. 

NON-TARGET MUSCLE

Whether or not a weaker, non-target muscle interferes with (fatigues first) the adequate loading of the stronger target muscle.

PARTIAL RANGE OF MOTION

Whether an exercise is being performed with a full range of motion, partial range of motion, or no range of motion.

DIRECTION OF RESISTANCE

Whether or not the direction of resistance comes from a position that is directly opposite the origin of a target muscle.

OPERATING LEVER

The angle of a target muscle’s “operating lever” (limb), relative to a given direction of resistance.

CORRESPONDING LIMB

The angle at which a muscle pulls on its corresponding limb, depending on the degree of bend at the joint.

RESISTANCE CURVE

The “resistance curve”—the sequential variations of resistance, as a limb travels through an arc / range of motion.

BI-LATERAL DEFICIT

Whether or not an exercise is being performed in a stable environment.

POSITIONED LIMB

The length of an “operating lever” (limb or combined limbs).

TARGET MUSCLE’S ORIGIN

Whether or not “reciprocal innervation” is being avoided.

ACTIVE AND PASSIVE INSUFFIENCY

Whether or not “active insuffiency” and “passive insuffiency” are being avoided.

UNNATURAL DIRECTION OR MANNER

Whether a joint is being moved the way it is designed to move, or it is being moved in an unnatural direction or manner.

ALIGNMENT

 

Whether or not an exercise has “alignment”—i.e., is on the same plane as the direction of motion, and the direction of resistance, and the origin / insertion of the target muscle.

A SHORT STORY ABOUT HOW IT ALL STARTED

My name is Moe Larbi. One of the reasons I started SmartTraining365 is to help people workout efficiently and transform their physique using our science-based and biomechanically sound training system, and customized meal plans.
 

I'm originally a tennis coach, but my weight lifting career started at the age of 18. I was skinny back then and my primary goal was to build muscles.

 

I started educating myself at an early age, seeking to learn the best ways to build muscles. I learned a lot from people I met in the gym when I first joined, from reading magazines and books, watching videos, taking courses from well-known personal training associations, and, of course from trials and errors. 

 

Since I met Doug, I started implementing the BRIG20 exercises in my workout routine, I was able to put on muscles faster than all previous years of lifting! It is by far the most efficient way to build muscle. Since then, I have switched completely to doing nothing but BRIG20 exercises.
